Project Canopy — GAB Enterprise Map & Architecture Atlas

Follow-on initiative from Project Baobab. Baobab established that GAB has a rich but distributed enterprise architecture across modules, contracts, MCP tools, source-of-truth systems, products, service lines, evidence records, governance workflows, and agent operating rules. The next highest-value initiative is to turn that discovered knowledge into a maintained Enterprise Map / Architecture Atlas so humans and agents can navigate GAB consistently before any plugin, restructuring, or implementation work is considered. Problem/opportunity: GAB's architecture is now evidenced, but it is not yet packaged as one canonical operating map. Without that map, future plugin packaging, product architecture, onboarding, agent reasoning, and governance decisions risk encoding partial or implicit architecture. Boundary: this initiative is not a plugin build, code change, module rewrite, product renaming, public positioning exercise, or restructuring project. It begins as Portfolio & BA analysis and must pass G0-G2 before any Project delivery work. Recommendation: Approve G2 and promote Project Canopy into Projects for controlled delivery of the Enterprise Map / Architecture Atlas. This does not authorize plugin build, code/schema changes, restructuring, product renaming, public positioning, or external publication. Expected benefits: Reduced enterprise reasoning friction; clearer navigation for humans and agents; stronger source-of-truth and governance visibility; safer future plugin evaluation; reusable starting foundation for future enterprise initiatives; clearer EIRAS/SiteSense and product/service architecture discussions. Gate History

Portfolio G0-G2 and Project G3-G6 decisions in one view.

G0 — go

Portfolio & BA • Daniel Nsowah • 11 Jul 2026

Proceed to G1 needs assessment. Use Project Baobab as the primary evidence foundation. Preserve Baobab methodology: evidence before action, independent-review challengeability, multi-dimensional classification, and clear separation of established knowledge, open questions, future opportunities, recommendations, and authorized decisions. Do not authorize plugin build, code changes, module rewrites, restructuring, product renaming, or public positioning at G0.

G1 — go

Portfolio & BA • Daniel Nsowah • 11 Jul 2026

Proceed to G2 charter-basis analysis. G1 approval confirms that Project Canopy addresses a genuine enterprise need: converting Baobab evidence into a canonical Enterprise Map / Architecture Atlas. G1 does not authorize implementation, plugin build, code/schema changes, module rewrites, restructuring, product renaming, or public positioning.

G2 — go

Portfolio & BA • Daniel Nsowah • 11 Jul 2026

Authorize promotion into Projects for controlled delivery planning of the Enterprise Map / Architecture Atlas. This G2 approval does not authorize plugin build, code/schema changes, module rewrites, restructuring, product renaming, public positioning, or external publication. Those remain separate future decisions.

G3 — go

Project • Daniel Nsowah • 11 Jul 2026

Authorize controlled execution beginning with WP1: Atlas Evidence Refresh and Baobab Trace Review. Continue to preserve Baobab methodology and G2/G3 scope boundaries: no plugin build, code/schema change, module rewrite, restructuring, product renaming, public positioning, or external publication unless separately approved.

G5 — go

Project • Daniel Nsowah • 12 Jul 2026

G4 approved by Daniel Nsowah. Project Canopy has produced a repository-backed Enterprise Map / Architecture Atlas v1 with evidence, source-of-truth, governance, product-service-module, agent-navigation, and maintenance layers. Deliverables remain within the approved discovery and mapping scope and do not authorize plugin build, structural change, product renaming, or external publication.

G6 — go

Project • Daniel Nsowah • 12 Jul 2026

Preserve the Baobab/Canopy evidence methodology and Atlas maintenance model. Conduct the planned benefits review on 2026-08-15. Treat GAB Agent Context & Operating Intelligence initiative 28fb7f45-9141-4655-9854-5cf06e29499c as a separate G0 intake requiring its own confirmation, investigation, recommendation, approval, and implementation gates. This closure does not authorize a plugin, model training, GIS specialist build, module rewrite, restructuring, product renaming, or external publication.

Needs assessment

Portfolio & BA artifact

# Project Canopy G1 Needs Assessment ## 1. Assessment Question Why is Project Canopy necessary now, after Project Baobab? G1 is not a design phase. It does not decide the final Atlas format, build a plugin, change code, restructure modules, rename products, or create public positioning. Its purpose is to determine whether there is sufficient evidence that GAB needs a canonical Enterprise Map / Architecture Atlas. ## 2. Evidence Basis Primary evidence comes from Project Baobab, now closed at G5: - Baobab project status: completed, gate state closed, progress 100%. - Baobab WP5 Gate Review Pack and Lessons v1.0, approved. Pack ID: c0eb0ba3-73b1-45e2-91cc-21bba8956193. - Baobab WP4 Findin

Business case

Portfolio & BA artifact

# Project Canopy Initial Business Case ## Strategic Rationale Project Canopy converts Project Baobab's discovered enterprise knowledge into a navigable operating artifact. This directly supports GAB's one-man-company multi-agent operating model by giving humans and agents a shared map of modules, products, governance surfaces, source-of-truth systems, evidence records, and operating pathways. ## Value Hypothesis The highest value is reduced enterprise reasoning friction. Canopy should reduce repeated rediscovery, improve agent handoffs, strengthen product/service clarity, protect governance boundaries, and create the foundation required before any plugin or agent enablement package is co

Benefits plan

Portfolio & BA artifact

# Project Canopy Initial Benefits Plan ## Expected Benefits - Faster human and agent navigation of GAB OS. - Clearer product, module, service-line, governance, and source-of-truth boundaries. - Lower risk of plugin/build scope creep. - Stronger basis for future EIRAS/SiteSense product architecture work. - Reusable foundation for future enterprise initiatives. - Better onboarding and handoff between agents. ## Measurement Approach - Atlas scope and evidence standard accepted at G2. - Future initiatives explicitly cite Canopy instead of rediscovering basic architecture. - Plugin feasibility can be evaluated from a canonical map. - Agents can identify correct module/tool/source-of-truth pat

Charter

Portfolio & BA artifact

# Project Canopy G2 Charter Basis ## 1. Purpose Project Canopy exists to create a canonical Enterprise Map / Architecture Atlas for GAB. It is the governed follow-on to Project Baobab. Baobab discovered and evidenced the enterprise architecture; Canopy will define the scope and delivery basis for making that architecture navigable. This G2 charter basis authorizes only structured analysis and potential promotion into Projects if Daniel approves G2. It does not authorize implementation until G2 is explicitly approved and the initiative is promoted into Projects. ## 2. Business Need GAB has a mature but distributed enterprise architecture across module contracts, MCP tools, source-of-trut

Transition plan

Portfolio & BA artifact

# Project Canopy Transition Plan If G2 is approved, promote the initiative into Projects with governance level full. Projects should create G3-G5 milestones, baselines, WBS tasks, quality checks, risks, stakeholders, and Reports outputs. The first Project phase should refresh Baobab evidence and confirm the Atlas evidence model before producing maps. Operational transition after delivery should hand the Atlas into GAB OS operating practice as a maintained navigation layer. It should guide agents to contracts and tools, not replace them.
